More About Me
I am originally from Hong Kong, one of the world’s international cultural diversity cities. Because of my strong passion for helping others to overcome mental health struggles, I left my home country to study abroad. I have been living in the U.S. since 2016, and I have been immersed in many different mainland cultures in the United States including Hawaii, New York, California, and now, Utah. In addition, I am a trilingual speaker, of which my fluencies include English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. In short, I have a strong background in cultural diversity and I am proficient in different languages.
Education
For my academic background, I have a Master’s degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Minor in Social Work from Brigham Young University-Hawaii.
Experience
As a psychotherapist, I work with people of all ages with mental health disorders in outpatient and residential settings. I am especially skilled at handling trauma, depression, anxiety, and substance abuse. For therapy techniques, I am an expert at Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Client-Centered Therapy.
I am confident that hope can saturate your life if you desire to change. It is painful to stay alone without help. I feel you, I hear you, and I relate to you. I am not here to look down on you, but I am here to work hand and hand with you.
