More About Me:

Before pursuing his Master’s in Social Work at the University of Utah, Del Dickson practiced family law, specializing in areas such as adoption, surrogacy/assisted reproduction, custody, and divorce. His legal career focused on taking a child-centered and family-focused approach to sensitive family law matters, including parentage, child support, and protective orders. Del’s transition into social work reflects his dedication to continuing to serve families in a therapeutic setting.

Del brings a wealth of legal expertise to Unified Family Therapy, having served as Special Assistant United States Attorney and as Law Clerk for Hon. Dale S. Fischer in the Central District of California. He also has experience litigating complex civil cases involving employment discrimination, wage-and-hour actions, and intellectual property, adding to his unique ability to navigate multifaceted family dynamics in therapy.

At Unified Family Therapy in Draper, Utah, Del applies his extensive background in family law and advocacy to provide a well-rounded approach to therapy for individuals and families. His commitment to understanding the needs of children and families makes him a valuable asset to the team.

Del lives in Millcreek with his husband, Kirk, their two daughters, and their two dogs. Outside of work, he enjoys skiing, traveling, and cooking.
