Professional Strengths
Daniel Jones is a compassionate Marriage and Family Therapy intern dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges. He uses a strength-based, humanistic approach, emphasizing transparency, connection, and collaboration. His work focuses on issues such as emotional regulation, family conflict, identity exploration, life transitions, and supporting clients through mental health and substance use challenges. Daniel is committed to trauma-informed care and approaches each session with unconditional positive regard, honoring the inherent worth of every person.
Experience and Education
Daniel earned his Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Health Promotion from Weber State University and is completing his Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Touro University Worldwide. Before becoming a therapist, Daniel worked in various behavioral health settings, including serving as a Case Manager for adults with severe mental health conditions, supporting clients in substance use recovery, and working as a Social Service Worker at a Children, Youth & Family Day Treatment center. These experiences have shaped his empathetic, client-centered approach to therapy.
Daniel transitioned to therapy from a successful career as a Medicare Insurance Broker, driven by his passion for making a more direct, meaningful impact on people’s lives. While he found fulfillment in assisting the elderly with their healthcare decisions, Daniel recognized the importance of gaining relevant experience in mental health and social services on his journey to becoming a therapist. This path has allowed him to better understand the complexities of human experience and further his commitment to supporting others through the therapeutic process.
Personal Invitation
I approach therapy with humility, curiosity, and a deep respect for the human experience. I believe trust, predictability, and genuine connection are essential for effective therapy. I’m passionate about helping clients recognize their strengths and create a vision for success. As Tim S. Grover writes in Relentless: “We never saw obstacles. We only saw situations in need of solutions.”
In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my wife and son, playing basketball, hiking, reading, and playing guitar. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and look forward to supporting you on your journey.
